What we do.

At ROSEJOE we undertake and support the package of interventions below towards realization of the vision and mission of our work.

Legal and Immigration Support

These services help immigrants navigate complex legal systems and secure their status in the U.S.

  • Immigration Legal Assistance: Support with asylum applications, attorney referrals, visa renewals, and deportation defense.
  • Transition and Family Settlement Assistance: Help with family reunification, dependent visa applications, and emotional support during transitions.

Domestic Violence and Crisis Intervention: Confidential support, legal advocacy, referrals to shelters, and trauma-informed counseling.

Housing and Basic Needs

ROSEJOE ensures that vulnerable individuals and families have access to safe shelter, food, and essential items.

·        Housing Support: RAFT applications, emergency shelter referrals, and temporary housing through host families.

·        Food Assistance: Pantry services, grocery gift cards, food drives, and partnerships with local food banks.

Clothing and Bedding: Distribution of winter gear, blankets, hygiene kits, and household essentials

Health and Wellness

These services promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

  • Elderly and Patient Home Health Care Visits: Warm meals, hygiene assistance, laundry, companionship, and wellness checks.
  • Mental Health Services: Culturally sensitive counseling, peer support groups, and referrals to licensed therapists.
  • Health and Life Insurance Information: Education on MassHealth and other plans, application assistance, and renewal support.
  • Pastoral and Spiritual Visits: Sacraments, prayers, spiritual counseling, and emotional support.
  • Health Screenings and Preventive Care: Organizing community health fairs, vaccination drives, and basic check-ups in partnership with clinics.

Education and Youth Empowerment

ROSEJOE supports academic success and personal development for children and youth.

  • Student Placement Assistance: Help with school applications, documentation, and enrollment from elementary to college.
  • Youth Mentorship and Leadership Development (New): After-school programs, youth clubs, leadership training, and cultural empowerment workshops.
  • Tutoring and Academic Support (New): Volunteer-led tutoring in core subjects, homework help, and exam preparation.

Economic Empowerment

These services help immigrants achieve financial stability and independence.

  • Retirement and Return Home Assistance: Financial aid, travel planning, reintegration counseling, and emotional support.
  • Employment and Career Support: Resume writing, job readiness workshops, interview coaching, and referrals to job placement agencies.
  • Financial Literacy and Banking Support: Budgeting workshops, help opening bank accounts, understanding credit, and tax preparation assistance.

Accessibility and Mobility

ROSEJOE ensures that community members can access essential services and maintain independence.

  • Transportation Services: Rides to medical appointments, grocery stores, churches, salons, and community events.
  • Digital Literacy and Technology Access: Computer skills training, access to devices and internet, and help navigating online services.

Language and Integration

These services support cultural adaptation and communication.

  • Language and Literacy Programs: ESL classes, adult literacy, GED preparation, and translation/interpretation services.
  • Cultural Orientation and Integration Workshops: Sessions on U.S. systems, rights, responsibilities, and navigating public services.
