For many in our community, the biggest obstacle to progress isn't a lack of will, it’s a lack of wheels
Transportation Support for Access to Essential Services
Cause
Reliable transportation is essential for individuals trying to access healthcare, employment opportunities, education, and other critical services. Unfortunately, many people facing financial hardship struggle to afford the cost of daily transportation.
Our Moving Forward Campaign is designed to remove this barrier by providing transportation assistance to individuals who need it most. Through transportation support such as metro cards, taxi vouchers, or fuel assistance, we help ensure that people can travel safely and reliably to the services that support their wellbeing and independence.
When transportation is available, people are better able to attend medical appointments, maintain employment, and access community resources that improve their quality of life.
Rationale
Transportation costs can quickly become a burden for individuals already experiencing financial challenges. To help address this need, our program provides transportation assistance valued at $60 per person per month.
This support may include:
Metro or public transit cards
Taxi or ride-share vouchers
Fuel support for those who rely on personal vehicles
Each month, the program supports 20 individuals, helping them travel to essential appointments, workplaces, training programs, and community services.
By covering these transportation costs, we help reduce missed appointments, improve access to services, and support individuals on their path toward stability and independence.
Donation Goal
Help Us Raise $14,400 to Support Transportation for 240 People This Year
